David Jacobs, CPA has been managing partner of the firm since 2003. He is a graduate of USC School of Accounting. He began his career with a high tech start up in 1983 and then joined the firm in 1986. In addition to his extensive tax practice, he regularly consults on financial management issues of small business and real estate transactions. He serves on the board of directors of the Ventana Wilderness Alliance and is also treasurer. He is an avid mountain biker, backpacker and enjoys a variety of other sports and leisure activities. |

Lisa Cole, CPA is a staff accountant with the firm. She obtained her Masters in Accountancy from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Merrimack College. She began her career in 1983, spending 17 years in various software development roles for Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Borland International, Digital Equipment Corp., and other high tech firms. In 2003, she began her tax accounting career and became a CPA. Prior to joining the firm, she spent several years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP specializing in high net worth individual taxation. Lisa enjoys camping, traveling, attending her family’s many sports activities, sewing, and many other leisure activities. |

Anna Hansen is a CPA candidate who has been working at our firm since 2006. She has a degree in Business Management Economics from UCSC and has completed the Certificate in Advanced Accounting Proficiency program at Santa Clara University. In her free time, she enjoys many activities including gardening, swimming, music, reading, and putting her culinary arts training to use. Anna is also very interested in her community and is a member of the UCSC Arts & Lectures, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, and the CA State Parks Foundation. |

Elaina Shanks has served as our office manager for over 10 years and also manages our bookkeeping and payroll services. In addition to her administrative duties, she is the hub of our firm and is an invaluable resource for our clients. Elaina makes sure that our clients receive quick attention and are well cared for. Outside of the office, Elaina is involved in many sports and recreational activities and has deep roots in the Santa Cruz community. |

Don Hunt, CPA was managing partner of the firm from 1979 to 2003. He has scaled back his activity with the firm and now consults with clients on a limited basis. He is a graduate of San Jose State and is a former director of the Society of California Accountants. Don has extensive background in tax, estate planning and litigation support. He has various recreational pursuits including spending time with his grandchildren and wine making. |

Emeritus - Jack Chiorini, PA began the firm in 1938. He passed away in 1998 at age of 90. Jack was a man of principle and was a beloved figure in the community. He served two terms as mayor of Santa Cruz, was on the founding board of Dominican Hospital and was active in many other community affairs. He retired in 1984 after 46 years of practicing public accounting. |
