Accounting Services

Chiorini Platt & Jacobs (CPJ) provides bookkeeping and accounting services based on your specific needs.
To assist you in determining which services may be right for you, we have defined four service levels below:

Level 1 – Accounting Support

This level of service is best suited for clients who have a bookkeeper who is experienced in accounting, is able to maintain books independently, and does not require much oversight.

CHJ will provide assistance on an as-needed basis. Typical services may include:

Level 2 – Accounting Oversight

This level of service is best suited for clients with a bookkeeper who is moderately experienced in accounting, is proficient in the recording of ordinary business transactions, but requires some oversight and assistance with certain types of transactions

CHJ will review client’s books on a recurring basis as needed (e.g. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually) and provide adjustments as needed to the bookkeeper. Typical services may include:

Level 3 – Bookkeeping Support

This level of service is best suited for clients with a bookkeeper or administrator with limited accounting knowledge. The bookkeeper or administrator may perform very basic bookkeeping functions such as maintain a check register and classify expenses, but generally does not understand or record transactions that affect the balance sheet.

CH will review the client’s book on a monthly or quarterly basis, record adjustments as needed into the client’s books, and perform various reconciliations to maintain a correct balance sheet. Typical services may include:

Level 4 – Bookkeeping Function

This level of service is best suited for clients with no bookkeeper and does not maintain a formal set of books.

CHJ will maintain the client’s books using documents provided by the client, such as check register, bank statements, credit card statements, and subsidiary journals. Typical services may include:
